Pulled Back By The Angels Ref: 1268

Two days after my father died I was getting dressed in my hotel room and I could smell this terrible smell of body odour. I had had a shower but could not get this smell out of my nose. I even asked my husband to smell me to see if he could smell it but he said he could not. I kept smelling my clothes and my skin as I kept thinking it must be me.

No matter where I went in the room it was there. I did say in jest "do you think it's my dad" coming back to say hi, as he was an old gent living on his own and could be a little sparing with the soap at times if you did not keep on at him. We were going into town to sort out my dads finances and was stood at the side of a busy main road waiting to cross along with my brother.

I looked down the road saw nothing was coming and went to cross the road. My husband and brother began shouting frantically at me to watch the car. I had looked down the road and had already registered that there was nothing coming but in that split second decided that they must be right and I must be wrong and took flight across the road right into a car coming in the other direction.

I had somehow forgotten or not registered that it was a two way road. As I took flight I felt as though something or someone was pulling me backwards but the car's wing mirror clipped my arm and I bounced along the side of the car landing on my hands and knee's on the floor. I got up and walked away with just a fractured wrist.

My husband and brother were in shock and absolutely amazed that I didn't end up on the bonnet of the car and being tossed over the top. I believe if my angels had not pulled me back that day I would most definitely have ended up much worse off if not fatal.

I put the earlier bad smell down to a warning which I obviously did not adhere too. If ever I get that particular smell around me again I will be sure to stay indoors.
